Video TypeInterview
Campaign AreaExplore-Candidate,

Sami Elhajjeh, Former Candidate, Courtice, Ontario, Canada

Auto Transcript:

1. How did you run a campaign while working a full-time job?

Balance and time management. I would work, you know, a full day 8:30AM to 4:30PM then I would get home and door knock for a few hours. I mainly avoided people at dinner because you know families are eating dinner and I didn't want to impede that.  What I also did is door knocked from 8:30 to 4:30 on weekends.  It's about getting your feet on the floor and knocking on doors and getting the information out and introducing yourself mainly to everybody out there.  It was tough to deal with and it's all about persevering. You know, for example, door knocking. I door knocked around 10,000 to 11,000 doors. I lost 20 pounds and and it was hard work but it was very manageable and ... thorough.
