"There are few formal opportunities to gain the the skills and understanding necessary to run (and win) in a municipal election campaign. Candidates for provincial and federal elections generally have support from the political party they represent, and training is often provided, but since no similar structure exists at the municipal level, a non-partisan campaign school is an opportunity to learn what it takes to run a campaign. The LocalDecisions.ca Campaign Schools happened in three locations across Nova Scotia in the Spring of 2016. Now you can access the sessions online."
